After getting dumped and dropping out of university, Mia moves into a studio apartment with her best friend, Pawnathan the cat.
At night, she becomes trapped in a cycle of dead-end work within a liminal dream mall. Can Mia escape with her new work friends, or is she just there to replace them?

Mia:
Mia is a loveable loser, a well meaning mess, and a bit too neurotic for her own good. Is she all too much, or not enough?
Pawnathan the Cat:
The sweetest of beans, the fluffiest of friends, and Mia’s furry old, old man.
Cynthia:
Cynthia manages Glitch 256, the Infinimall’s arcade. Blunt and to the point, she can come across as cold, but there’s passion behind her fiery eyes.
Oliver:
Oliver is the head of Plant and Plethora Management at the Infinimall. He’s a kind and compassionate listener, and an absolute pushover. For Oli, it’s easier to help than be helped.

I just got through the game and as someone who has very recently experienced a lot of the same things mia does in the game it hit me pretty hard. I really liked it. I don't know if the tv show severance was an inspiration but they're similar in all the best ways. The art and aesthetics were really up my alley too. Highly recommend!

These introverted and tired train-wreck heroines are the best somehow ; love & relatable Mia ^^
The weird capitalist AI on speaker reminded me of that futuristic story where fast-food restaurant RH are overtaken by AI (and everything else afterward) ; that and a mix with Portal for the mad side.
Dunno if you HAD to use the “shared dream” trope (it felt like a cheap story-trick without explanation) ; imho you could have just made it happen in real life ! (but I’m just nitpicking of course, all hail for your story it was good !) ^^’
